DEFINITION:
HWA-RANG is named after the HWA-RANG youth group, which originated in the Silla dynasty during the 7th century (nearly 1400 years ago). This group became the driving force for the unification of the 3 kingdoms of Korea. The 29 movements refer to the 29th Infantry Division, where Taekwon-Do developed into maturity
STANCES (SOGI):

  • Vertical stance (Soojik sogi)
BLOCKS/StrIKES:
  • Sliding two direction elbow strike
  • In-out downward block
KICKS:
  • 360 degree jumping back kick
  • 360 degree reverse turning kick
  • 180 degree jumping reverse turning kick
